UPDATES!!!

Currently I'm working on building another squidoo lens on free online marketing, where all the info on this blog, and other stuff floating around in my head, will be put. As soon as it's done, I'll let you guys know!

I've also changed my template on my blog. The previous template with all that orange was cool for halloween, but was an eyesore. Lemme know if you guys like this, or have suggestions for anything better. 'Till then, good luck, and godspeed!

Squidoo, Myspace, Craigslist, and Backpage updates

As you all may know, I've been using free methods to present my network marketing products to the world, or at least the online world. Using Squidoo as the primary base for my main web page to all the information about the company, I used Craigslist, Backpage, and Myspace to bring customers to my main landing page @ usana.com.

As far as I'm concerned, I'm proud of myself for not spending myself into a hole doing any of this. It's all for free. COOL! As of today, my squidoo page is ranked #336 in the health section, #5899 overall.

That's insanely well considering I put up the page less than a couple weeks ago, and spent about 3 days making the page. Considering there are about 500,000 pages on squidoo.com, I'm doing very well for myself. I even got a comment from a fellow rep on how well my page was. COOL!

So far, this where most of my clicks have been coming from:

Myspace bulletin - 18 clicks.
Myspace profile - 13
squidoo.com searches - 5
craigslist - 3
my blog (thanx guys!) - 2
backpage - 1
others - 6

So what does this mean if you're in network marketing and are trying to get people to see your business or products? Using the free methods that I've been doing, you can see a steady stream of clicks to your webpages, blogs, etc. where you present your business or products.

They like what they see, they buy. If not, put up better information, or reach to a wider audience using more methods. As with all this, I didn't hold one single presentation or tabletalk. That's just soo much easier for me now.

If you wanna know how to do all this, step by step, or if you need help in a certain aspect, just email me.

Backpage

Another Day, another idea. So I'm reading more into Building On A Budget, and I read of another place to post my supplement ad. Go to backpage.com.

It's a less known version of craigslist, with less traffic, but still a nice directory to place ads.

I basically rehashed my craigslist ad onto the backpage ad. Check it out here!

Hopefully that helps you.

Does Craigslist work?

So I'm reading Building on a Budget by Mike Dillard, and one of his pieces of advice is to use craigslist to show more people about either my company's products or business opportunity.

As of right now, I'm focusing more on building a large customer base before really delving into the business opportunity. It's not the right or wrong answer, just my personal preference. I wanted to prove to myself that I can sell the products without selling the opportunity.

So back to the subject at hand. I've just made a craigslist post using the first couple paragraphs of my squidoo page, and linking it to the squidoo page.

Check out my craigslist post here, if it's not already expired. I'll keep reposting after deletion.

Well, this is the first time I'm using Craigslist.org to present a product. I mean, I've used craigslist before to buy and sell personal stuff online. But for selling a company's product, I'm crossing my fingers. Let's hope it works, even to get a couple hits on the squidoo page. Branching myself out, ya know.

Let's hope this works. I'll keep everyone posted!

Hope this might help you on your way to success!

Another Way of Doing Things

A little while back, I was in a Network Marketing team that was doing the old-school way of prospecting for the company we were distributing for. At that time, I didn't know there was any other way of network marketing, so I did it for as long as I could.

It took ALOT of time in my life. From the moment I opened my eyes, to when I closed them, there would be nothing else that I would do. A couple months down the line, I was getting tired of prospecting my warm market, mainly because my warm market was drying up.

Friends were alienating me. My room and house was a mess. I was going into debt maintaining myself while I worked my business. There had to be an easier way, I thought.

A couple months into the business, I stumbled upon a way to run the business using mainly the internet. I knew this had to be the new wave of Network Marketing, but oddly enough, my NM team wasn't doing such things. I mean, basic things like adding friends on Myspace and Facebook, and pitching the company to them. It wasn't as effective as I liked, and my attempts at it weren't as promising.

I started to research how people were marketing and prospecting online. I was liking it, ALOT!

First off, I didn't need to worry about my limited warm market list. My hot market was dead. But the cold market, the millions of people online searching for a way out the rat race, was where I could find an unlimited amount of people to prospect.

That's when I found out about Ann Sieg and Mike Dillard, both heroes of the online network marketing movement, also known as attraction marketing.

Ann Sieg opened up my eyes to the truths of Network Marketing, mainly in her 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing.

If you want to see what I saw, then click here. But I WARN YOU. If you're still doing the old-school way of NM, then you're either gonna LOVE it, or HATE it. I leave that opinion up to you.

Mike Dillard showed me the way of online marketing, BIG TIME. His advice showed me another way of doing things, a way that made more sense to me.

I'm not saying this is the know-all end-all to network marketing, but for those a bit frustrated with cold calling, chasing leads, calling up old friends, doing tabletalks at random houses, driving all around town, going to constant meetings and presentations, making LITTLE OR NO MONEY, having nothing to show for your efforts, then you owe it to yourself to at least take a look at what they have to offer. I did.

I'm not a millionaire by no means, but I'm much happier doing things the way I'm doing now than I was before. I'm not saying you'll feel the same as me. I'm entitled to my own opinion as much as you are entitled to yours.

But like I said, you owe it to yourself - unless of course, you're retired or are making a substational amount of money in your own methods. Then this might help you make more, or at least easier than how you were doing things previously. Your choice.

Squidoo is crazy!

So I'm up at 3:30 AM on a sunday morning, and decided to play around on the 'net until my eyes got tired again to go to sleep. So i'm going down my usual bookmarks: Yahoo! mail, USANA.com, Twitter.com, Blogger.com, betternetworker.com, myspace.com, and then my squidoo.com page.

The last page was the shocker. I recently put up lens on squidoo about my MLM company's products. it highlighted the need for supplements, a little about the company, and where and how to buy. Threw in some youtube vids, a billion or so links, and a picture to accompany every module. cool stuff. but as good as it was, i couldn't break the #1000 lensrank, mainly because no one was looking at it, regardless of how high it ranks alone on the squidoo search. so i put it up on a myspace bulletin for some traffic, and submitted the page to over half-a-dozen squidoo directories, and SHAZAM... traffic was coming in. I nearly crapped my pants over how high my lens was ranking! it was now in the high 3 digits (smaller numbers means better).

Now of course, most of my friends on myspace.com are already in the same MLM i'm in, so i won't be getting any product buys from them. however, a little traffic to your site never hurt.

So i'm starting to get a hold of this "magnetic" ability to send people to your sites.

It also brought my lensrank to break past 1,000, and as of this moment, my lensrank is #753. Congrats to me, right? =)

day job killer

So I'm lurking around on the net, updating myself on twitter, and i come across a link for Day Job Killer by Chris McNeeney. The sales letter was amazing, very reminiscent of what I read for magnetic sponsoring by Mike Dillard. Interesting stuff. Talks alot about internet marketing. Because I'm running a little low on funds right now, I took an extra minute to see what the rest of the marketing world says about it.

Half were affiliate links. boo.

A quarter were articles saying how it's a scam. Not exactly what I was looking for. I'm not too tolerant of the word scam anymore.

The last quarter, the cream of the crop, were from people actually implementing it. Some were mixed. Some said it worked for them. some said it didn't. but since its debut in october 2007, there hasn't been much word on the net about it, especially considering it's october 2008 now.

Damn.

1 day trip to L.A.

I just got to L.A. with Dad to drop off sister's stuff she left behind at the house in San Jose. Got there in a record 4 hours. Lotsa fun, especially when i'm queasy during long road trips. Went to a chinese joint for lunch before dad bounced to Santa Ana to see friends. Afterwards, took a semi-long nap only to wake up to bed head and puffy eyes. Me and sis walked to a ramen spot for probably the best ramen i've ever tasted. Now back at sister's apartment staring at the walls because we have no car. =(
